Musical freestyle: Ready, set, NO NO NO NO!

Posted: 01 Mar 2010 01:52 PM PST

I read once where Olympic dressage horse Flim Flam sometimes balked at going into the ring -- this upset his rider Sue Blinks, who wanted her horse to enjoy his work (article in Practical Horseman from years ago). This horse is also showing some, reluctance, shall we say? They sort of missed their musical freestyle, but some of his moves were dancelike.

Riley sometimes balks going into the indoor ring (where he is lunged). Is this I have to look forward to???? Thanks to the rider for sharing this rather tense moment.

Mischievous Experiments: Football Deconstructification

Posted: 01 Mar 2010 06:00 AM PST

dog experiments

I haven't been scienterrific in awhile, so I decided to fix that. The inside of my football is fluffy and white, so I decided to do a taste test comparison between it and snow. Snow is very tasty, so I thought maybe I would discover a new snack source. If so, I would name it the snowball snack!

I carefully deconstructified the football and proceeded with the taste test as planned.

001

It didn't taste nice like snow, but I ate quite a bit in hopes that it would improve.

But then I didn't feel very good. Next thing I knew, I was at the Dr. throwing up my football. That wasn't how I planned to spend my day. So, my expert scienterrific opinion is that footballs should be played with and not eaten. I hope this advice saves the rest of you some future troubles.

Although maybe it is only Bears footballs that taste bad? Maybe my squeaky football would taste better?

Monday Mystery: A Word Puzzle

Posted: 01 Mar 2010 01:00 AM PST

Do you want to try another word puzzle today? I think this will be a challenging one!
Here are some hints:
  • It is an Irish proverb
  • It has to do with cats
  • I agree with this proverb!
  • If you read it out loud, it sometimes helps
What do you mean you did not get it yet? You have to think real, real hard. Try again please.
If you are having trouble thinking, you could try closing your eyes and concentrating. Here I am demonstrating how you should concentrate. Concentrating is different than napping. Good luck!

MM - American Idol Top 24 **

Posted: 28 Feb 2010 08:01 AM PST

Welcome to Meow Diaries' edition of fave
American Idol performance on MM! For the next few months, my
Music Monday will feature my hubby's pick of fave performance from the currently-aired American Idol. We're both huge fans of the show and I am thrilled to have B grace my cat blog with his song selection every week! Smiley

Anyway, B has been an
Andrew Garcia fan since day one so it was no surprise that he selected "his guy" for this week's American Idol Music Monday. I actually liked Andrew's performance last week and though he was a little indulgent and all that jazz according to the judges; I still think he did a wonderful job. Happy Music Monday! Smiley

Behold the beautiful, graceful, smooth moves of these furry kitten ballerinas! And not only do they have a beautiful dance troupe (the more meowlerrinas the better!), but look at that fabulous cat tree they have to dance on. If I was a cat, I'd be dancing, too!
