We Are Not Average! Posted: 09 Feb 2010 01:00 AM PST I read that the average weight for a domestic cat is between 8 and 11 pounds. So, let's do an experiment! My Mommeh usually weighs us on a baby scale about once a month to make sure we are not gaining or losing weight, since this can be an early sign of a medical problem. Our weight varies by only a few ounces each time because we eat the same amount of foods every day. I will get on the scale first!
I'm not sure if you can read this, but I weigh 7 pounds and 1 ounce today! Let's see how much Harley weighs. Hop on the scale, Harley! Harley weighs 12 pounds and 1 ounce today! I weigh less than average, and Harley weighs more than average. I think that this proves we are not average cats! |
