Regalia and Ruby HTF: what beauties!

Posted: 31 Jul 2010 01:00 PM PDT

I ran across these video on Hilltop Farm's Youtube page. The colt, Regalia, is possibly the loveliest yearling I've ever seen. Look at that neck! Hilltop Farm bred him and his sire is Rascalino,  a Rotspon (who is by Rubenstein) son who is known for throwing a lot of white and great temperament.

He looks tall doesn't he? Won't someone buy him for me? No?

And let's hear it for the girls...
Ruby is by Royal Prince who I think is by Rohdiamant. I think Ruby's movement is an interesting contrast to Regalia's -- less boing-boing. IMHO she has the fluidity, a more "sit down" kinda trot, and arguably the makings of a better canter. I wonder how someone with more experience would characterize the differences between them. At any rate, she is such a young lady, so relaxed with a sweet open face. Love her.

Let's follow their development as young horses if we can...

Torrent Time

Posted: 30 Jul 2010 06:30 PM PDT

Anyone out there looking for a new fast torrent download site? I just discovered one called Fenopy.com and apparently it is one of the largest online, with over 4 million torrents! Smiley

The usual categories of Books, Movies, TV, Games and Music are available and my first stop was TV
of course where I looked up my favourite Bold and Beautiful. I typed in Bold and Beautiful 2010 and the torrents dated back to January this year, which is great because believe it or not, I have been missing almost an entire year of B&B! Smiley

It sucks missing out on my fave TV program (B&B is no longer showing here) and I feel bad about not keeping abreast with the Forresters. I wonder what in God's name is going on right now and I don't like reading the story episodes online so I resort to torrents for my B&B addiction. Hopefully my Internet won't act up tonight and I can start storing my B&B episodes again.

Of course I checked out the game category as well and what do you know?
Big Fish games are available too! So yes, this was an excellent find indeed and if you don't hear a peek from me these next few days, that just means I'm busy with my torrents okay?

Miracle Struts His Stuff on the Catwalk

Posted: 30 Jul 2010 09:05 PM PDT

Well, maybe it's more like a sidewalk, but Miracle doesn't seem to mind -- he's strutting his floofy stuff like he's a supermodel on a big-time catwalk!See how he kind of swishes his hips and looks from side to side every now and then? He's a natural! Oh, and the matching tie and hat don't hurt either...

Ya had to get me started on the sixties...

When I posted my Hair post, one commenter wryly observed that the movie version was produced in 1979, the peak of the "me decade." Yes, I appreciate the irony too. However,  at least a few of us in any generation are stuck in the previous generation. I was a  child of the seventies in many ways, but my role models were from the folk era and early sixties -- in junior high and high school, I was listening to Bob Dylan, Peter Paul and Mary, Joni Mitchell, and the Everly Brothers.

Born 10 years too late...
My idol and role model at the time was Mary Travers of Peter Paul and Mary.  She was the real deal. Even if you think you remember her, watch this video and bring her coolness back into sharp focus. The whole video, now!  It's just TWO MINUTES. Geez.

I knew better than to try for Mary's kick-ass bangs, but here is my attempt at Mary Travers hair. Maybe with a little Peggy Lipton ( The Mod Squad?)  thrown in.Oh, and John Denver glasses.

Sigh. It makes me sad to think that there are no Joni Mitchells, no Mary Travers'es for today's young women. Are they out there? Am I missing them?

Found Corgi in Shorewood, IL. Do You Know This Dog?

Posted: 30 Jul 2010 10:57 AM PDT

This is a little dog with no tail public service announcement! When Secretary Mommy was out runnings this morning she saw this sign about a found corgi dog in Shorewood, IL!

In case you can't read the picture, it says that a friendly, well-groomed, mostly white (looks fawn to me), male Corgi with a collar but no tags was found on Saturday July 24 in Shorewood, IL on Parkside Drive in the Walnut Trails subdivision next to Del Webb.  For information or to claim him, call Joliet Animal Control, 2807 McDonough, 815-725-0333.

Here is a closer look at his picture. I thinks he has a tail! He might be mixed with some yellow lab too. It is hard to tell.
