Junie, The Cat Against The Whole World. Her Allergy Test Results Posted: 08 Jul 2010 06:36 PM PDT We have Junie update today. It could be very difficult for people to read but I must report. For those who doesn't know Junie, she was rescued by my friend Lee. Junie is allergic to outside environment, due to that her stomach is all bloody from her licking herself. While we wait for her allergy test results, she was bandaged up plus corns around her neck. She was so miserable....   Finally we had the test results today and results are not good.I scanned her test results from the lab here, the normal number for cats are below 150. As you can see Junie has abnormally high numbers for almost all of them... 2000, 4000.... the vet said it is just crazy and they never seen a cat so allergic to everything before.... The vet suggested some kind of injections that supposedly reduce the amounts however, those injection might cause some side effects. The injection is not one time thing, she needs to have them every 3 months and each one cost about $170. We don't know how long we need that injection treatment and we don't know if that will make Junie better either....it might make her worse too. So, Lee has two options. 1. Take a chance with injection treatments. 2. Put her down. I am so sorry to break this news...but these are only solution we have. The vet said, if Lee haven't rescued Junie, she would have been dead long time ago. Lee has already spend $3500 for the vet bills, and it is getting really really difficult financially for her. To be honest, she is not sure if she can continue with expensive injection treatment. However we know what we need to focus on right now is Junie, and what is best for her... let us know your thoughts. Please continue to support Junie by donating to the Save The Junie Foundation.
